How to Convert Your Hostess into
Your Newest Recruit!

Learn what questions to ask and things to say for the greatest effect

When coaching your hostess for her upcoming lesson, be very enthusiastic! Each hostess is a great person to talk to about joining your team - she already loves the product, believes in home lessons, has a captive audience (her guests) and has a lesson booked that you can turn into her lesson, her profits and her new customers!

Here’s an example of how that conversation might sound:

You: “Hi Mary, I’m calling you to talk about your skin care lesson. Do you have your guest list and phone numbers ready? Great, I’ll go ahead, call everyone and get them excited about coming. I wanted to ask you something-have you ever thought about doing what I do? You sure had a great time at Cindy’s lesson.”

If she says “No”:

Hostess: “No, I don’t think I’d be good at this, and I really don’t have any time.”

You: “Our consultants experience so many benefits as part of L’Bri, and each have had different reasons for joining our business. Before you say “No,” I’d like to ask you a few questions first:

1st Question - How Much Time For Business

You: “Hypothetically, let’s say that you worked as a consultant part-time. How many hours would you be willing to work each week?”

Recruit: “Seven hours a week.”

You: “That’s plenty of time!” Explain with excitement: "We average anywhere from 1 to 3 lessons a week-that’s more than enough time for you to do 2 lessons a week!”

2nd Question - How Much Money Does She Want

You: “How much money would you like to make a week?”

Recruit: “$200.00 a week.”

You: “I know we can help you do that - we average anywhere from $75.00 to $100.00 in earnings from each lesson!”

3rd Question - What would you do with all that money?

You: “What would you do with that money? That’s an extra $800.00 dollars each month!”

Recruit: “I’d remodel my bathroom.” - Remember this! This is her HOT BUTTON!

You: “Sounds like you’d be really happy to get that bathroom done! Once you’ve completed that project, what would be next on your list?” Would she like to get a new car, get her hair or her nails done? Paint her house? Help her to dream a little…

4th Question - What other activities bring people into her life?

You: “What types of activities are you involved in?”

Recruit: “Kid’s soccer games, bowling, the PTA.”

You: “Wow-with all you’re doing between your family and your other obligations, it sounds like you meet a ton of women!” Explain L’Bri’s Mini 5 Piece Skin Care Kit briefly. “Half the people we meet are from lessons, the rest come from sharing our Mini 5 Piece Skin Care Kit. You have a great audience to share with!”

5th Question - Have you done this before?

You: “Have you ever done anything like this before?”

Recruit: “No, never!”

You: “Neither had I! Our training is so wonderful that you don’t need to have any previous experience-we’ll teach you everything you need to know!

- OR -

Recruit: “I sold Tupperware.”

You: “You did? How did you like working with that company?”

“L’Bri has so much to offer you and your family-If you’re interested, I’d like to come over before your lesson so we can discuss these benefits further. How does that sound?”

If she says“Yes, I was thinking about being a consultant!”

You: “I want you to watch what I do at your lesson - if you’re excited about this opportunity and want to join our team, you’ll earn all the profits from your lesson. All you need to do is get yourself a starter kit! How does this sound?”

During the lesson you can say, “Mary is seriously thinking about joining L’Bri today. One of the exciting ways that L’Bri works is that Mary will receive all the commissions on everything that is purchased at this lesson! I think Mary will be great at this - don’t you?” Her friends and family will become her cheering squad!

Let her and her guests know that the bookings she gets from this lesson will also be hers – so she can start her business off with a bang! Make sure to make your lessons simple and fun. She is watching you and picturing herself in your shoes. Compliment her about how well she does with her make-up application and how much she knows already!

After the lesson show her the profits that SHE would make - whether she says “yes” or “no” to joining your team! Show her that these profits could be hers!

Be proud and excited about what you do! Be enthusiastic about her joining and let her know we will help her every step of the way.
