Your I Story
Your I Story is an important element of your ability to make
a connection with your customers. It personalizes your LBri
experience for each person in attendance at a lesson, giving them a chance
to understand how and why you became a LBri Consultant, as
well as how your experience can be of direct benefit to them. It
is of critical importance that you write out your I Story
when you first become a Consultant.
- It provides a document
for you to study, which will give your I Story credibility
as you tell it. The more familiar you are with your own I Story,
the more comfortable youll be telling it.
- Youll be
prepared and wont ramble on and on when talking about L'Bri!
- Youll ensure
that you mention al the critical points, without missing anything.
- Youll have
the opportunity to go over your written I story with Leah
Day for help and suggestions.
- Having a strong
I Story will help you sell products, book lessons and recruit
new consultants!
- The I Story
is about you, however, its key function is to help others see that they
too will love our products, want to book a lesson and join your team.
- The I Story
is a great way to get guests excited about LBri and what it has
to offer them, uniquely.
Four
Major Points
There are four major points for you to cover when writing your I
Story."
1. How you were introduced to L.Bri.
2. Why you decided to become a consultant and what you plan on doing with
the money you earn.
3. Your personal testimonial, as well as a few others about different
skin types.
4. Your invitation to your guests to look at the opportunity for themselves
and imagine how they might benefit from joining your team!
Step - by - Step Guide
To Writing Your "I Story"
Here is a step-by-step guide to writing a compelling I Story.
Remember that the goal of your I Story is to get your guests
excited about our products, hosting lessons and the opportunities that
are available to them as a LBri Consultant.
Your story needs to be both interesting and brief. Too much detail will
simply bore your audience.
Your I Story
is NOT just about you!
This personal testimonial
illustrates how your guests can achieve success with LBri as you,
and other consultants like you have, in situations similar to theirs.
For example, stay-at-home Moms, retired people, even women who have full-time
jobs and children. Remember to always focus on BENEFITS of the program
and not so much on the FEATURES.
- How were you introduced to LBri?
I was invited to a skin care lesson a few months ago. At the lesson,
I had so much fun and learned so much about my skin! I couldnt believe
how soft my skin felt and how calm it looked after just one application.
I went ahead, booked a lesson and was a Hostess just like Cindy is tonight!
- Why did you join LBri?
It may have been because you wanted to stay at home with your kids, or
earn money to pay for a family vacation. Tug on your guests heartstrings
with your story, put some emotion into it! Show them a picture of the
new furniture youre going to buy with your next LBri check,
or a photo of your children, happy and healthy because now you get to
stay at home with them!
Tell your audience some of the different reasons people have for joining
LBri. What are some of the benefits? Benefits can include earning
extra money, having fun, getting out of the house, learning something
new, etc.
Remind your guests
that this is a great way to make extra money for new carpeting, new clothes,
remodeling the bathroom, buying artwork for their home or paying for a
vacation, paying off a monthly bill, or saving for retirement.
It can help them supplement
their retirement income or weekly family budget, or simply allow them
to stay at home with their children without having to pay for day care.
Show them that there are an infinite number of things they could do with
the money they could earn being a consultant like you. Plant a seed
- Share your personal testimonial
If your skin was dry, talk about how smooth and supple your skin feels
now. Tell how the lines have disappeared and that your skin doesnt
flake anymore. Use descriptive adjectives that will paint a picture for
the listener such as: soft, smooth, clear, radiant, firm.
Be sure to include
a brief testimonial about someone who had oily skin as well as someone
with combination skin whom you know has benefited from using LBri.
This will illustrate that every skin type can be helped, regardless of
its current condition.
- Invite everyone to watch what you do, because LBri might be something
they would love doing, alongside taking care of their families and other
commitments! Not only is it fun, but it also works around their current
obligations - whatever they might be.

Example of an I Story
I'd like to tell all of you why I got started with L'Bri and why I still
love this business so much!"
I was
invited to a party that a friend was hostessing and had such a great time
learning about my skin and how to take care of it better. I'd always had
very dry, sensitive skin, that was so easily irritated that I had never
washed my face regularly until that day.
Now with
L'Bri my skin is silky smooth and the sensitivity is competely gone. I
was so impressed with the results of the products that I
decided to book my own party.
You know,
as a hostess, you get kind of an inside view into what Consultant's do
and how their job works. As a hostess I got to see how much money the
Consultant made from the party and realized that I really wanted to make
this money too.
Since
joining L'Bri I've been able to treat myself to many things that I would
not have been able to afford otherwise. I've bought myself a new sewing
machines and many new toys for my son. I was also able to remodel my master
bathroom which had been desperately in need of a face lift!
I work
at home with L'Bri and still manage to keep up my house, take care of
my son, and have fun with friends and family. This really is a business
that can fit into your life and really change the way you view yourself.
I never thought I'd be able to own my own business, but now I am, and
it's really an amazing experience!
