The Secret History of The War on CancerReviewed
by Leah Day As I was reading this book, I felt like blinders were being lifted from my eyes, layer by layer. I've always assumed my health was safe because I thought if an area or a chemical was really dangerous, it wouldn't be allowed in this country. Unfortunately, this is far from the truth. The US still imports asbestos for crying out loud! The truth of the matter is, we are exposed to dangerous chemicals each and every day at work, on play grounds, in our food, and yes, in our skin care products because the government isn't doing its job of protecting us from harm. Cancer scares me, and I don't think I'm alone in that fear. I encourage you to read this book if you're interested in pulling off the blinders too.
