Why a Sit Down Longarm?

A sit down longarm quilting machine is designed for quilters who like to push the quilt over the tabletop. You just want more room to move, more freedom of movement, and a machine that supports you with an amazing stitch regulator, great lighting and a flexible table size.

Sit down or push style free motion quilting does give you the most freedom of design and movement. You'll begin quilting in the center of the quilt and stitch outward, filling the quilt as you desire. There are no limits to your design size or block size because you can move the quilt anywhere, in any direction, on a sit down long arm.

What Makes the 19SD Long Arm Different

Most quilters come to sit down long arm quilting machines after years of wrestling to finish quilt tops on home sewing machines — fighting the weight of the quilt and inconsistent free motion quilting stitches. The new Grace 19SD solves all of that.

With a 19-inch throat, you can pile a king-size quilt in the arm, and still see your needle clearly. This machine is set in a proper quilting table with 20 inches to either side of the needle, plus more table surface whenever you need it from the fold-up leaves to either side.

When it comes to free motion quilting, even if you're just a beginner, you'll produce perfectly spaced, consistent stitches from day 1 with the Grace 19SD. This is thanks to the new highly sensitive stitch regulator, built with two settings: standard and high.

Simply set your desired stitch length, hit the start button and begin pushing your quilt under the needle - it really is that easy!

Alternatively if you prefer using a foot pedal, one is included so you can control your stitches - up to 2600 stitches per minute.

It's not often that my jaw drops when I take my first stitches on a quilting machine. I've been quilting for over 21 years, and have long since lost count of the different machines I've played with. I know without a doubt I've never been as impressed with a machine like I am with the new 19SD.

The stitch regulator is not just good, it's amazing! Using the automatic Stitch Regulated Precise, I hit start expecting the machine to struggle to keep up with me. Instead, it matched me stitch for stitch.

A table that fits your space - The 19SD comes with a dedicated sit down quilting table with fold-down sides. Closed, the table is 3.5 feet wide — compact enough for most sewing rooms. Fully open, it extends to 6.5 feet, giving you a generous quilting surface for large projects. This is included with your machine. No extra purchase needed.

A 7-inch touchscreen - Navigate settings, easily adjust your stitch length and stitch regulator style, and access controls with a full-color display that's clear and easy to read while you quilt.

Foot pedal included - You can use the included foot pedal to control your speed, or hit "start" on the monitor to quilt with the built-in highly sensitive stitch regulator.

19 inches of throat space - This is what separates a sit down long arm from a home sewing machine. More room means bigger blocks, more complex designs, and less time repositioning your quilt.

Standard Quilting Foot - This basic free motion quilting foot allows you to free motion quilt with good visibility around the needle.
