1300 meter spool of 50 wt. Aurifil Cotton Thread
This is my all-time favorite thread for piecing and applique! I love this thread because it's very thin and doesn't take up much room in my seams.
I also love Aurifil thread because it has very little lint. Excess lint can easily kill your sewing machine as it fills in the bobbin area and locks up the delicate parts. It's important to use thread that has low lint, in addition to cleaning your machine regularly.
Yes, you can also machine quilt with Aurifil thread and I do on occasion. But my favorite thread for quilting is Isacord polyester embroidery thread
