Sewing Machine Accessories for the Little Rebel
Open Toe Quilting Foot - This foot is designed for push quilting, when the machine is set in a table. This open toe foot faces the "seated" machine front so you have a clear view of your needle when the machine is set in a sewing table.
Looking for an Open Toe Foot for frame quilting? Click Here to find that foot in the 3 Piece Hopping Foot Set.
Note - If you purchase your Little Rebel machine today, it will come with this foot in the accessory kit!
Little Rebel Ruler Base - This ruler base locks to the Little Rebel and is necessary only when frame quilting. A ruler base supports your quilting rulers underneath the quilt. Other than a ruler base, you will also need a Ruler Foot, and you can find that in the 3 Piece Hopping Foot Set too.
How to Attach Your Little Rebel Ruler Base
Attaching the Ruler Base to the Little Rebel sewing machine requires following some very specific steps. The ruler base fits very tight and locks into position, so please follow these instructions precisely to attach this sewing machine accessory to your machine:
1 - Rotate the hand wheel until the take up bar reaches the lowest point. Your needle will be in a lifted position where the ruler base will clear, but more importantly, the feed dogs will be in the lowest position to not scrape against the bottom of the ruler base.
2 - Remove the Quilting Needle Plate. This plate puts your machine in quilting mode and is attached only with magnets. Pop it off your machine, but leave the sewing needle plate (attached with screws) alone.
3 - Firmly grip the tab on the bottom of the ruler base and slide it over the machine bed. Keep pushing until the hole in the ruler base lines up with the sewing needle plate perfectly.
4 - Reattach the Quilting Needle Plate. Now that you have installed the ruler base, you can pop the quilting needle plate back into position and get back to quilting.

Frequently Asked Questions about Ruler Bases
Question - How do I stop my ruler base from hitting the front rail of my quilting frame?
Adjust your front rail higher so the ruler base can slip underneath. If this doesn't work for you, unlatch the front rail and extend it so you have more space between the ruler base and the rail.
On the Cutie Breeze Frame, you'll need to change the location of the side brackets. Set up the frame as if you are using the largest longarm - an 18-19 inch machine with the brackets in position 3. Once adjusted, you will have plenty of room for the Little Rebel and ruler base to move without limiting your quilting space.
Question - When should I take my ruler base off?
Once you attach your ruler base, there is no reason to remove it. You can use your machine for regular free motion quilting, ruler quilting, computerized quilting, and pantograph quilting all with the ruler base attached.
