Tips for Quilting ZoYo
This is a riff on the quilting design Yo-Yo we learned several months ago. I've really fallen in love with grid quilting designs. These take a little more work to quilt because you need to mark the grid on your quilt before you begin quilting.
But the finished formal look to the design is 100% worth it!
I quilted ZoYo on my longarm using the Ditcher Ruler to help guide the design. The lines really needed to be straight and on my longarm machine, using a ruler really helps!
Where Should We Quilt ZoYo in Our Quilts?
ZoYo looks great in blocks, would be beautiful as an all-over design, but might be time consuming on a big quilt.
Here's a real life quilt project inspiration: I decided to make everyone in the family new stockings before Christmas and asked my son to pick fabric and a quilting design. He picked green and blue fabric and ZoYo for quilting. I think this turned out awesome over this simple striped stocking:
