The Q-Zone Hoop Frame features adjustable height legs, single bottom tracks and comes with two channel locks to make loading the frame faster and easier.
The front rail of this frame adjusts outward so you can use any home sewing machine or a Qnique longarm machine with up to a 19-inch harp space.
Yes, you can even use off-brand longarm machines like the Babylock Tiara or HandiQuilter Sweet 16. When using one of these machines, you'll need to set up your Grace Q-Zone Quilt Frame for seated quilting because you'll have to use your foot pedal to operate the machine.
Optional Upgrades for the Q-Zone Hoop Frame
This is a minimal quilting frame, but we have lots of additional accessories to maximize your quilting potential!
- Carriage & Handles for Home Machines - If you plan to use your home machine or off-brand longarm on this frame, make sure to add this carriage to your order. This will hold your home machine and provide handlebars to the front and back of the frame.
- Carriage & Extended Handles - To use off-brand longarm machines like the Babylock Tiara or HandiQuilter 16, you'll need a top carriage, plus longer handlebars to fit around your bigger machine.
- Hoop Frame Leader Cloth - This leader cloth is specially designed to make loading and advancing your quilt on a hoop frame faster and easier.
- Dual Track Upgrade - This upgrade transforms your Q-Zone Hoop Frame to the Hoop Frame Pro, with a solid back table and bottom dual tracks for smoother quilting.
- Table Inserts - A cheaper alternative to the Dual Track Upgrade adds plastic table inserts to the back of your frame so you can quilt with pantographs.
- Luminess Light Bar - If you're struggling to see your stitches, this lightbar will definitely help. The 5 foot width will perfectly illuminate your Q-Zone Hoop Frame.
- Frame Wheels (Set of 4) - Easily push your frame out of the way, or roll it forward so you can quilt pantographs from the back side. This set of sturdy frame wheels will replace the leveling feet on your Q-Zone Hoop Frame.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have to baste your quilt before attaching to the hoop?
Yes, the three layers of your quilt (top, batting, and backing) have to be layered flat together and pinned across the top and bottom edges. The middle of the quilt does not need to be pinned like traditional quilt basting, but the layers of the quilt do need to be evenly spread out and flat.
Please keep this in mind if space is a serious issue for you. You will still need the space to arrange the three layers of your quilt flat on a table or the floor, find the midpoints, and pin across the top and bottom edges of the batting and quilt top. I do this by pinning on a wall!
If you do not have the ability to spread the layers of your quilt flat, a better frame choice will be the Evolution Elite Frame which allows you to baste the quilt directly on the frame.
