The finished size of the quilt will be 43 x 58-inches, making it a beautiful, throw sized quilt!

Optional Additional Sashing and Cornerstones

For 2017 we've added an additional, optional Sashing and Cornerstones pattern for you to expand your Flower Festival quilt and give you a lot more opportunities to practice machine quilting.

Sashing Feather | Feathers DesignThis optional pattern will expand your quilt to measure 65 x 85-inches so it will fit nicely on a twin sized bed.

It will also boost your machine quilting skills as you quilt each cornerstone square with an easy flower design and each sashing rectangle with a beautiful overlapping feather design.

Quilt-As-You-Go

Flower Festival is a skill-building Quilt-As-You-Go project. This means the blocks will be pieced, then sandwiched and quilted separately, then put together to create the finished quilt at the very end.

This Quilt-As-You-Go style is perfect for beginners and quilters with small home sewing machines. You won't have to fight the bulk of a big heavy quilt because you will quilt each block one at a time!

What do I need to get started?

The Machine Quilting Block Party is designed to work block by block, but if you'd like to purchase all your fabric at once, here's the total amount you will need for all 12 blocks.

When selecting fabrics, it's a good idea to pick solids or solid-reading batik fabrics because it will be easier to see your marked lines when quilting.
